Bridge Over Troubled Water
Simon & GarfunkelLike they tried to write a classic album by focus group. Aside from "Only living boy in New York" it has no conviction, and left me cold.

Doesn't have the same affect as Sugarcubes for me, and listening 27 years later feels like there are 100 albums that have mimicked it more successfully.
Started listening thinking Id hate it but a great album- even the ubiquitous songs that you've heard 1000s times of before sound better as part of an album. Glad to be proved wrong.
Sounded great 20 years ago, still sounds great today. Very good album.
Pleasant enough listen but a bit too of its time - last few songs went nowhere
Pleasant surprise again - doesn't sound dated at all, and some real top tracks.
Never even heard of these but absolutely loved it. Like listening to one of those albums as a teenager where you just wanted to know more about them and listen to everything. Fantastic.
Not a huge fan of RHCP, but I've loved this album for about 20 years despite that. As close to a 5/5 as you can get with being 5/5
Ballsy move having 10 minute opener but a brilliant album made by total individuals.
Never clicked with Sonic Youth, but I can see the draw and the uniqueness of them. Enjoyed the album but like always, nothing stood out.
Amazing album. Should devolve into meaningless trite but as good as it was 25 years ago.
I can appreciate the song writing and talent behind the album, but it just doesn't connect at all.
I really wanted to like it - I love the opener but the rest of the album becomes a bit of a chore. You can appreciate how they opened the door but its just a bit to girl band at times.
