(Accidentally listened on shuffle) I quite liked this album. The variety of vocals across the album was cool - shouty vocals across the whole album would wear me out pretty quick. Clean simple basslines were tasty on tracks like Gouge Away. Particularly liked Monkey Gone to Heaven and Here Comes Your Man.

Vulgar Display Of Power

I listen to metal so infrequently that I struggle to tell good metal from bad metal. My enjoyment of the guitar in some tracks is pretty speedily quashed by someone screaming 'FUCKING HOSTILE' in my ear.
This album doesn't really do it for me, but I wouldn't call it 'bad'. Favourite track was probably 'Regular People'. I'd split the difference between a 1 and a 2

I didn't find that this one was jammed with tracks I'd listen to on repeat, but there were tracks like 'The Union Forever' and 'This Protector' that I liked a lot on this album. Happily listened to the album a few times through, and I'll probably come back to it again in the future, so an easy 3 for me

Just a wild & wonderful musical journey. The ending to Pt.II felt like I was ripped out of a day-dream after tipping back too far on my chair
An album that has stood the test of time to still be viewed as creative & really unique almost 50 years after its recording gets a 4 from me

I committed to giving this one a good few listens as I really haven't listened to that much Bowie. Some brill piano on this album and a smattering of nice basslines
The transition into the chorus of Oh You Pretty Things just slaps every time - I'd forgotten how great that song is. Queen Bitch was a nice new find for me. A nice album to perk up a slow afternoon

On an album where every track is purely vocals & acoustic guitar (and the occasional harmonica), I didn't feel that either part interested me enough for this album to be particularly engaging. I'm probably not the target audience though lets be honest.
Spotify continued playing Springsteen after this album finished which I quite enjoyed, but none of the tracks from this album really did it for me.

Only got the chance to give this a really quick listen. I didn't find there was loads to separate the album tracks from the one listen through (that's probably partially on me though). Overall I liked the whole feel of it - nothing hugely pushed me to either end of the scale

Up there with the coolest album art we've had so far. I struggled to really 'get' this album - it started off good, but then some tracks just felt like they belonged on a completely different album (like '...And In Every Home'). I appreciate not just pumping out 12 variations on the same style, but I found some tracks on this one went too far the other way, and it made for a weird listening experience when you're coming to this album blind.
That said, there are some nice little tracks in there - Tears Before Bedtime and Man Out of Time being two highlights for me. Just a bit confused what to think of this one really

Was just in the right mood for this one. Enjoyed the majority of the tracks - I get a nice wave of nostalgia every time I listen to Led Zep. Probably one I'll come back to again

A bit out-there in places, but there's some really interesting tracks on this album. Lots of diversity in the style of tracks - particularly liked the drum and bass influences in 'Nadia' and the hip-hop feel of 'Pilgrim'. Not sure I'd frequently play this album, but I enjoyed listening to it on the whole.

Cool to see some R&B thrown in the mix as a bit of a change. 'Sock It 2 Me' was the stand out track for me on this one, there were a few good slow jams. I did find a few tracks a bit repetitive.
I was reading up a bit more about this album - sounds like it was quite influential on the huge success of Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Rihanna etc in the 2000s which I thought was interesting. Would we be free to experience the auditory excellence of WAP nearly a quarter of a century later, if this album hadn't existed? Lots to think about.
Would probably go for a 2.5 if I could

The Byrds
Any music from the 60s with this kind of style seems to make my brain automatically want to compare it to the Beatles and just chalk it up as a 'close copy' of their sound. It all ends up sounding very samey to me. Didn't really do it for me unfortunately

These guys really like The Byrds eh?! I'd rank this one higher yesterday's Byrds album, but I still feel like I could have died a happy man without hearing this one. The rockabilly style on Lazy Days was probably my favourite on this album. I'm sure there's one absolute die-hard Byrds fan who squealed with joy at the inclusion of 4 bonus rehearsal takes on this album

Out there, which I somehow didn't immediately expect from "Jah Wobble's Invaders Of The Heart". Learned my lesson. Some parts were interesting - I find it tricky to rate these ones as an entire album to be honest

Proper Noel rock. Reminds me of the kind of music he'd stick on when we used to drive to the local swimming pool when I was like 6.
I can't put my finger on what it is I really like about this album. I'd rate it somewhere between a 3 and a 4. Been meaning to check out Grateful Dead for a while, after someone recommended it a while back - I'll be listening to this one again
