1001 Albums Summary

i actually really like it, the vocals especially are really fk cool and like expressive which i love. they are super on brand, like really loud and stuff, but the music is actually melodic and well crafted under the vocals and volume which is such a cool juxtaposition and makes the songs actually awesome. i think the drums are my favourite. i guess a criticism could be they dont really tend to deviate from one specific style; theres nothing wrong with it but it would be cool if they did. i also LOVE the album name and cover, the name and font fit their style so well, but the pink and yellow contrast it which is literally SO COol. i think the best thing about this album is the feeling it gives you when you listen to it, like the anti-establishment thing really empowers you, and how as a band they are so unconventional. easy to listen all the way through. favourites: no feelings, god save the queen, anarchy in the uk

the same kind of aggressive voice as the sex pistols, but this time not really endearing its just annoying. i feel like theres just too much going on and it takes away from anything good. literally so repetitive its actually hurting my ears. i honestly dont think its good at all its really really bad, i cant finish it. no tune or anything remotely pleasant to listen to. shit basically i hate it

i LOVE this type of music. neil young is so comforting- i prefer some of his other work, but his voice goes with the music so well, and the album is just beautiful. it seems to fit within one style, but each song has such a different feel to it. my favourite was old man, but i feel like you cant just listen to one song, you have to listen to the whole album

the first song is AWFUL. i can see the innovation in the album, like i think its unique and interesting, but its just not really my thing. its super unrelaxing, and most of the songs never really settle into a rhythm. paper planes and that one with timbaland are great songs though. paper planes especially is such a good song but overall the album just isnt my thing

It seems a little ahead of it’s time - I can’t really comprehend that it’s from the 70s. Kind of a classically good album, I don’t think it’s anything completely unique, but it’s pretty solid.
