Nevermind
NirvanaNirvana’s Nevermind as a collection of songs is like the pattern camouflage; edgy and cool in tasteful doses, but a red flag if it’s the entire outfit. An hour straight of music that sounds like this is too much music that sounds like this. I feel the same way about the Beatles. Maybe this is not a productive thing to say. Anyways, this album’s influence on other stuff that I’ve listened to is undeniable, and it’s aesthetic consistency and commitment to its sound and themes is admirable. I’d put a couple songs from this into a playlist so that my friends think I’m cool, but otherwise wouldn’t listen all the way through again. I feel like people who 10/10 this album or say this is their favorite album are the kind of people whose favorite movie is Fight Club or Pulp Fiction
