1001 Albums Summary

I'd give it 3.5 stars. +1 in there for Heroes, and I liked the oppressive trance of Sense of Doubt + Moss Garden + Neukoln leading into upbeat exotic The Secret Life of Arabia. Overall, though, I was underwhelmed.

It was overall solid, a good mix of "alternative" (pre-dating the musical style) and punk music. There's a few songs I really dug, and I can definitely see the influence on alternative music from the '90's.

Amazing album! Amazing that it was performed live and the flaws and asides and prison chatter add to the overall vibe, rather than detract. I'm normally not as much a fan of live music, but this was great all the way through.

A classic rock great album! I've loved these guys for years so this is not new to me, but even the less popular songs on this one are solid - if a little quirky. Is it "great" all the way through? I don't think so, but it's definitely very good all the way through with a handful of outstanding songs.

A groundbreaking album. Public Enemy dropping solid raps as per usual, funny segues between songs, and a collaboration with Anthrax for the final track. This is the first time I've actually listened to a full PE album - good all the way through.
