1001 Albums Summary

Everybody always talks about "America" and "Mrs. Robinson" from this one, but this time listening the best song was "Hazy Shade of Winter" -- the lyrics, the changing rhythms, the exciting music. Also "At The Zoo" made me think of certain days in high school that I haven't thought about in years, and that was god.

The man had a gift for lyrics, and "American Pie"is still a banger, but ... not one of my faves.

This is my second favorite Kinks album after Muswell Hillbillies, and that is all.

So this is trip-hop, huh? Pretty cool, but it all kinda blurs together into a smooth operator soundtrack.
