Really enjoyed Charlie Byrd's guitar - some lovely interplay with the saxophone and double bass

first listen ever to this album - lots to take in and very ambitious! It made a good first impressions and I will go back and listen again to fully unlock and appreciate.
Put off by the vocalist and musically it just didn't resonate with me! Gave it a whirl but not really my cup of tea!
Simple effective production, and the rap was really easy to listen and flowed well. However the themes/message really didn't resonate with me. I much prefer the 90's hip hop by Guru, the native tongues, etc
Easy to listen too, nothing too complicated and good fun. Liked the American roots influences......
Excellent - other than the title track i'd never given Funkadelic much attention. Some fantastic guitar action going on both lead and bass! Will be revisiting for sure and it may even get added to the vinyl wants list!
Thoroughly enjoyable - not quiet as good their first outing "Blue Line's". The Mad Professors remix of the album "No Protection" which used to do it back in the day would probably get 4.5 stars....
First time listen - loved the stripped back simplicity of the folk. Will be listening again to really dig deeper into the lyrical content
Hip hop gold - simple but very effective
