Tracy Chapman
Tracy Chapman
wasn't crazy on talking 'bout a revolution, fast car was a bop, immediately like across the lines, not a fan of behind the wall, baby can i hold you was nice and i really liked it, love the drums in mountain o' things, she's got her ticket was a bit too reggae for me, why? was very upbeat and i liked it, for my lover had a nice story and country feel to it but i really enjoyed it, if not now was nice but probably not memorable, for you was a nice end to the album.
overall I genuinely enjoyed the album, but thought maybe it went on a bit long. I mostly enjoyed the upbeat songs, some were memorable while others not so much.

A Seat at the Table
Solange
love the intro and the song weary is just magic. love how weary plays straight into cranes in the sky. don't you wait drums gave my 80s vibes at the start, think there was too much audio use, really enjoyed don't touch my hair, has a good vibe and feel and message. really liked the start of where do we go but the rest of the song wasn't my favourite. genuinely sick of this album, 21 tracks is a bit ridiculous, every song starting to sound the same. dragged on way too much.

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
Lauryn Hill
