1001 Albums Summary

1st track bittersweet and beautiful, a bit like Spiritualized etc but with the cosy quaint voice of someone more like Ira Kaplan or smth. Good instrumentation - it's varied and sort of like classic mellatron and sort of like Divine Comedy orchestration. Some of the swelling strings are like the sentimental bits of Grizzly Bear. Third track is like McCartney meets Incredible String Band meets Joe Meek it's sort of corny but cool. Fourth track is lovely tapey piano and mellotrony warble. It's quite nice and good for the background, it's main character-y lol.

i really don't know if i can sit through this lol it's perfectly fine pop music it's just corny for me! good production etc though and catchy

woops actually 10/10 - not at all dated, fearless, catchy, joyous even if dodgy lyrics occasionally. fun fun fun yes lol iconic. 'submission' is classic cos it has a wee synth at the start, it's like post-punk but punk lol

Fun(ky) - very 80s and funny fairlight i guess trumpet but yea so far quite pleasant melodies. 'sad old red' is jazz n nice. it's all quite pleasant but idk if it's for me in the foreground...
