Love Career Opportunities. I already knew and loved some of these tunes - White Riot and the great cover of Police and Thieves mostly. Cool guitar on Cheat. Quite long for a punk album? Cool vocals on Protex Blue. Johnny Johnny! Ha ha. Fave Songs - Career Opportunities, Police and Thieves (always loved this).

Love a change is gonna come, and the version of Satisfaction. A pretty satisfying soul album, although it doesn't include my fave of his - These Arms of MIne.

First heard this in the early 90s as a tewen and the Femmes were actually my first live rock gig. This is a cracker album. Not one had song! Although Side A is markedly better than B to be fair... All the bangers come right at you straight away. 4.5 stars (slight bias for nostalgic rating)

I mean this opens with a banger, and is truly ,objectively, an excellent album. I just feel like it contains some of the pap of the time, buy maybe that's an era thang.

Classic Crosby. I loved this stuff in my 20's as a folk loving hippie. Now I find it a bit weak and flowery. He's better with a band. Music is love - flowery crap Cowboy movie - better but I still skipped it. Nice guitar. Ended up skipping every song until I abandoned it. He's so much better with a band!

Quite a good album if a bit relative. La Grange is a banging tune.
