1001 Albums Summary

This was the first time I actually listened to a Kanye album. I quite enjoyed this one, with 11/21 songs standing out to me. I feel like melodious rap with a story tends to turn my ear more often than not. The themes of racism, family, materialism (in the form of traditional distractions and surprising, academic degrees), and religion were enjoyable to hear through the metaphors and melodies.

I have never heard of Elliott Smith prior to this, and I never really sat and listened to this style of music. Some of the songs stuck out to me, but I found myself unable to find a distinction between change and unique sound until I confirmed Spotify moved to the next song.

Pretty chill with a few songs that stuck out. Overall not my vibe but enjoyable.
