1001 Albums Summary

The songs are really good and well written in a way where you kind of want other artists to cover them in their own style. BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, I’m looking at you. I don’t think that I would actively go out my way to listen to any of the songs on the album though. They aren’t really my thing and I find some of them just really boring. I really lived the female singer in ‘You Are My Sunshine’ and it’s no surprise that it’s probably the most well known song on the album as it is the best one. 2.9/5

Another one that’s kind of average, like no songs will make it on playlists for me or anything like that. Liked how it was recorded live and they kept the silly bits in between, that is perhaps the most charming and best quality of the album. ‘Green, Green Grass of Home’ was my favourite song of the album but then I will always have a soft spot for Tom Jones’ version of the song and is probably why it’s my favourite on the album. 3.5/5

Now this one was different, rather jazzy, kinda like lift music. But I liked it. Towards the end of the album i was kinda getting bored of the Jazz. 3.8 / 5
