1001 Albums Summary

I'm enjoying the now-classic Beatles sound at a time when it was probably fresh. The remastered vocals are really good quality. Lots of classics here but I'm enjoying some I've never heard before. The whole album is a hitter, I guess they didn't put filler on albums back in the day.

This was fun but turned into a chore quickly. I found the background got repetitive and Elvis's vocal flourishes got absurd after a while. I think the phenomenon of Elvis was about more than just the music.

I don't understand this album, there is a multi-part song called Another Brick in the Wall, which I recognize bits of. It's also all over the place tonally. I get the sense there's a lot of meaning behind some of these songs, particularly some lesser known parts of their catalogue. Without knowing the context or meaning behind some of these songs, I feel like I might be missing a layer.

A cool dude. Good old school rap.

Fine. A soundtrack to a melancholy indie movie I haven't watched.
