Day 1: Odessey and Oracle - The Zombies - laid back Beatles/Simon & Garfunkel vibe - very happy nappy - cool harmonies - nice imagery - not my style but enjoyable - favorite: Time of the Season - 6.5/10
Day 2: James Brown Live At The Apollo 1962 - love the introduction - it’s fuckin James Brown!!! - the raspy voice just does it so well - the screeching groupies are a plus - instrumental bridges are crazy - absolute king of soul - mellow yet powerful - the brass section are the stars of the show - favorite: Try Me - 8/10
Day 3: London Calling - The Clash - listened at 1 am on the next day - london is calling me at this hour - punky sound - kinda rock n’ roll at times - low effort voice but it fits - jimmy jazz moodswitch, is it a beatles album? - like the feeling of all of them singing - feels oh so british - don’t really like punk rock - repetitive drums - favorite: Lover’s Rock - 5.5/10
