Out Of The Blue
Electric Light Orchestra
Instantly transports me back to being 7 years old riding in the back of my Mom's '75 Pontiac, sliding around on the vinyl seats (seatbelts? bah!) and inhaling second hand smoke while we cruised around town.
Turn to Stone and Sweet Talkin' Woman are the touchstones for me on this one. The rest of the album is solid, but did not age well and has the feel of a band who wanted to rock but had to throw some disco in for pop appeal.

Sweet Baby James
James Taylor
Great music to ease your way into the day. Taylor's voice is so pure and rich and music is simple but beautiful. It goes to show you don't need autotune and digital effects when you have pure, raw singing and songwriting talent. Wish we had more music like this today.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Kanye West
Ugh. Kanye. I'm sure his fans love this, but I'm just not a fan of this guy or his music after about 2006 or whenever he got wrapped up with the Kardashians. This has musical merit and his guest artist list is impressive, but I just am really ambivalent about it.

Master Of Puppets
Metallica
Man, I forgot how tight this band is. This album defined the heavy metal genre for the second half of the 80s. Though I don't feel like it's their best work, it really set the stage for the complete domination of the heavy metal scene.
It was a staple of nearly every teenage boy in my high school. Brought back a lot of good (and bad) memories of high school for me! :)

Is This It
The Strokes
Much better than expected. This album kind of sneaked by me in the early 2000s and I never heard it other than their radio hits, which I always enjoyed. This album was pretty darn good and I'm disappointed in myself for not listening to it before now.
