1001 Albums Summary

first time i’ve ever intentionally listened to LINKIN PARK without Jay-Z involved. they really sound like The Lonely Island (or i guess that’s the other way around but i was born in 1999) and i kept waiting for the dick jokes to fly. sadly, they did not. not really my vibe, it felt like angry but not really directed at anything; maybe Rage Against the Machine without expressly my preferred politics. my favorite song was Cure for the Itch it was a little gem at the end for me.

i was definitely kinda excited when it opened up, but this album doesn’t really go anywhere or have much to say. weird that someone would le an the buzzcocks to make something even more droning. definitely not a creative post-punk record looking back at it, but i guess it could’ve meant a lot at the time.
