1001 Albums Summary

One way or another is so sickeningly overplayed that I had to skip it. Pretty Baby annoying and forgettable 50's inspired song. Sunday Girl fun and boppy. Heart of Glass the obvious star here, very different from all the other songs as it departs from the vaguely 50's theme. Just Go Away pretty funny and lighthearted. Overall a fairly forgettable album other than Heart of Glass and one I'd like to forget with One Way or Another.

Crazy how many people probably only know Aretha from Respect. There's a wealth of other great soul songs on here and I'm glad I didn't skip over this one. Standouts: Don't Let Me Lose This Dream; Do Right Woman, Do Right Man; A Change Is Gonna Come; I Never Loved A Man

Very solid album all the way through. Reminds me a lot of Allman Brothers.
