Misogynistic lyrics on many songs made it difficult at times. BUT the unique instrumentation made it quite fun to listen to it.
What a wild ride to listen to this album for the first time. It was such an experience to listen to their experiment in what is music and how can it be upended to support the artistic expression. The poetry on some of the songs was magnificent. I can see why it wasn’t a commercial hit - just too avant garde. I’d love to know specific example of this album’s influence, because I can’t identify it at this time.
Nothing very compelling. It seemed like an average pop album. I give credit for the influence of different cultures on some songs.
