1001 Albums Summary

One of the most influential albums in the US. Not really my type of music-- although i do like rock music a lot, i think it might be a way better album if i actually take the time to understand the lyrics.

It's pop from back in the 80s. Way better than the commercial pop songs now, but still have lost my interest already I'm afraid.

Wow, i love 80s sound. There is always this energetic aura that so easily distinguishes itself as an era of music -- maybe it's the disco beat. Normally i am not a fan of pop music but i guess the nostalgic feeling behind my listening experience is why i like this album and feel like i am totally brought back to a time where i was not even born.

Yeah The Killers is never really my thing but growing up this brings a lot of memories.

I will admit it I have zero idea what makes an album good in the sense that you have to listen to it in your lifetime. I have favorite songs, albums, and artists but after all these years of privately enjoying music, I can't explain to anyone in an explicit or genuine way what makes an album great. I listen to most albums because i consider them cool and i want to be part of the crowd that enjoys "good music." I have several Fugazi's albums saved in apple music for a long time, and perhaps listened through them a couple times as well. However, I can't get into most of their stuff. I can't hear what's good about albums like this anymore. I appreciate it not being formulaic or repetitive like contemporary pop songs but what separates this album from the previous ones that i have reviewed? i don't know. I am genuinely lost and i wasn't expecting this project triggers yet another existential crisis in myself.
