She's So Unusual
Cyndi Lauper
Incredible debut. Sassy synth pop rock n roll by the best to do it. First four tracks are back to back bangers. The rest of the album ain’t nothing to write home about but her attitude Carrie’s it. I gotta check out Blue Angel.
B-side ripper: I’ll Kiss you

Morrison Hotel
The Doors
I bought a Morrison Hotel shirt in my freshman year of high school because I knew the doors were cool. I liked some of the hits and LOVED Peace Frogs but the more I heard them, the more I hated it. I am now older and wiser and confidently say that the Doors suck shit. Lackluster jams littered with boring blues riffs and obnoxious honky rink piano. The band will find interesting sonic corners and then totally blow them within seconds. I wanted to give this album the benefit of the doubt but damn this dropped the same year as Loaded by Velvet Underground and Fun House by the Stooges? Whatever ‘far out’ aspirations the doors had has already run out by this album and it’s all down hill from here.
B cut Banger: lol nah

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Beatles
Wow, its the freaking Beatles, mate!! I'm not a big BeatHead, so I can't remember the last time I listened to this album all the way through. Its great! What else can you say? 1967 is insane year of music where are lot of artists started to really explore alternative/experimental production on their albums. Shit was psychedelic freakieee, maaaaan. You've got Sgt Peppers, Pink Floyd's Piper at the Gates of Dawn, and Rolling Stones' Their Satanic Majesties Request, The Zombies Oracle and Odyssey and and even Strawberry Alarm Clock's (you guessed it) Strawberry Alarm Clock. Can we blame this on LSD? Beach Boys' Pet Sounds coming out the year before? Or the game changing Mellotron station inside of Abbey Roads studio? Whatever it was, I want a fucking hit (song) of that shit!!!
Undeniable album with a great flow.
B-side Bop: Good Morning, Good Morning. I would LOVE to hear a fuzzed tf out cover (from Ty Segall or adjacent?) of this track!!

The Who Sell Out
The Who
I’m sure there are more Who albums on here but having this one pop up first made me lol. Goofy and fun album with a lot of wacky interludes. While charming to listen to, not sure a lot of the songs stuck for me. I hate to give this a 3/5 (why does 6/10 sound less harsh?) but let’s be fair, it’s tough to follow Boris the Spider. An album that makes me want to listen to more Who and less of this album

Daydream Nation
Sonic Youth
Sonic Youth is such a cool fucking band but I’ve never been able to get into them. I tried a couple albums and this one easily hits the hardest for me. Killer fuckin blown out clean tones on a jazzmaster with blaring noice and catchy hooks. Every time I put on this album I don’t remember a single song. Do I have some sort of disease? I’d give it five but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
