Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Mar 06 2023

Some great songs. Some not so great songs. Pretty good rainy day listening.

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
Mar 07 2023

A couple recognizable tunes a couple boring tracks. Not a perfect album but a fun listen.

The Poet by Bobby Womack
Mar 08 2023

Strong vocals and groovy basslines kept my toes tapping all the way through. Stand up was a favorite on my first listen through. The album loses steam towards the end and lost me a bit in the last 2 songs.

Achtung Baby by U2
Mar 09 2023

Sometimes list makers are wrong but I guess I'll listen anyways. U2 reminds me of cabbge. The excessive use of audio effects makes the songs take up space and seem like they'll leave you full but instead leave you hungry. Could Bono sound any less enthusiastic than on Even Better Than The Real Thing?

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Mar 13 2023

I enjoy some hip hop every now and again but how on earth is this album on the 1001 list? Almost every song on this album sounds like it was written produced and performed by and for children. Extremely basic, repetitive rhythms and a whiny voice don't make for very good music. I was halfway through my second listen before I realized that I'd heard the songs once before.

Darklands by The Jesus And Mary Chain
