1001 Albums Summary

Okay album, can’t say it’s bad, but not particularly good. The guitar riffs sound great and pretty much every song is full of energy, with take me out being the highlight. The album has a very consistent sound that can make every song very similar, but it’s very efficient with its 39 minute runtime. Quick and catchy, but nothing particularly special to set it apart from other indie rock records

Solid soul album. Solomon is a fantastic singer, I could listen to his voice all day. Every song here is good, but they’re all essentially basic love songs so it can get somewhat repetitive. Very comfy listen, I’ll probably come back to this sometime in the future.

Great album with lots of variety between the members of Fleetwood Mac. The double album structure can be overbearing as one sitting, but it gives Lindsey, Stevie, and Christine each ample time in the spotlight. Personally, I prefer Christine's cuts on this album the most, particularly the absolutely beautiful opener Over and Over. Stevie's highlight moment is Sisters of the Moon, and while Lindsey's more upbeat songs borderline between classy and kitschy, the title track that he wrote is one of my favorites. Definitely some fat I would like to trim from this album, but I agree with the general consensus that you can get a satisfying experience from listening to this as 3 almost solo records.
