Brighton rock 9/10 (solid opener) killer queen 10/10 (classic, peak queen) tenement funster 7/10 (sounds a bit dated, still fun) flick of the wrist 8/10 (Freddie sounds like he's doing a Halloween song, not a huge fan, good refrain and sick riffs save it) lily of the valley 8.5/10 (incredible melody, freddies voice rocks, shame it's so short) now I'm here 8/10 (doesn't get any more stereotypically queen than this) in the lap of the gods 6/10 (boring, simple melody, sounds like an interlude) stone cold crazy 9/10 (goes hard, ngl) dear friends 8/10 (somber freddie interlude, nice) misfire 7/10 (90s family sitcom melody, i can see the b rolls of a gated 97% white neighborhood while this plays, nice lyrics tho i like the message) bring back that leroy brown 5/10 (ooh boy, a song that sounds like something made in 1926, how innovative and provocative, amazing[not]) she makes me (stormtrooper in stilettos) 6/10 (inoffensive love song, "oh boo hoo i love her so much she's my love, im worried about the future but you make my brain shut up" who cares) in the lap of the gods... revisited 8.5/10 (this should've been in the lap of the gods, this is good, more of this please, shame it's the last song of the album) avg of 7.7/10 decent record, not the best queen record, at times brilliant and groundbreaking, and at times painfully boring. overall i did enjoy it, as a project in it's entirety I'd say 7.7 is a bit low, if i was to rate each song on their own 7.7 would be right. overall do recommend, try it if you like the shit your mom plays and soys over while on roadtrips
