Parallel Lines by Blondie
Jun 17 2023

This album is terrific, it was as big of a deal in the late 70s as it is today! Debbie Harry's vocal range continues to be one of the best, and its blend of traditional pop and rock is excellent. Not only was it a big deal for the new wave scene, but it was also an influential album for showcasing the women of rock music, with Debbie being one of the most iconic frontwomen EVER. My favorites on the album were "Heart of Glass" and "One Way or Another", but all of the tracks on here were good!

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
Jun 17 2023

This is not a bad album by any means, in fact, I think that it is Dire Straits' best-known work, but some tracks on the record are definitely better than others. It shows a good blend of country, pop, and rock, but other than that and the guitar instrumentation, I wasn't very intrigued by this album. The only song I think I will listen to again is "So Far Away", which was a good track to start the record off with.

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Jun 18 2023

Tony Iommi's guitar work on this album is outstanding, but other than that this record didn't sell it for me. It was highly influential at the time of its release, and I am usually not a fan of metal at all, but still, I feel as though Paranoid was the better album by them.
