A Love Supreme
John Coltrane
Day 1:
Some nice bits on this album but just far too much going on for me to settle in to it and properly engage. Am more a fan of slower jazz, but think for the moment my musical palate is not quite ready to properly appreciate this, I definitely didn't 'get it'. Worth revisiting at a later date if I think I'd get more out of it

Day 2:
Quite enjoyed, lots going on but was fun and funky. Not many stand out songs but lots of nice guitar sections, nice vocals, nice vibe. Solid

Day 3: Some excellent tracks - really liked changes, life on mars, queen bitch, and bewlay brothers. Elements of others were also quite nice and musically impressive, but a lot of it was almost too dramatic/stylised to the point it ended up being quite annoying. It's unlikely I'd listen to it in its entirety again, but individual tracks worth a revisit

Day 4:
Possibly something worth listening to again very loudly in the gym, but generally quite average. Not really any tracks that stand out hugely, but if you're in the mood for it then it it'll sound nice enough

Day 5:
Unbelievably shite. Very disappointed because I was quite excited about this one, but I really couldn't finish it. I already knew supermassive black hole was class, but the rest that I managed to listen to were either boring, annoying, or just embarrassing
