1001 Albums Summary

this album is iconic for a reason. although i went into this album with expectations to not like it (im not much of a rock fan, although i do like queen) this album impressed me. it didnt fail to catch my attention, something i struggle with upkeeping while listening to albums. the electric guitar was really good in this album. it went from being loud and harsh to soft and mellow throughout the project. an example of this is the contrast between the guitars of ''Paranoid'' and ''Planet Caravan.'' The vocals of the singer were also pretty good. I will do some more research on the band itself, as i am now interested in exploring their discography. My fav tracks are Planet caravan, electric funeral and war pigs. im glad that im starting to open up to some more genres than just hip hop in an enjoyable way. this album is a 9/10

Im not gonna lie. apart from roundabout, i dont understand the hype around this album. from looking at the tracklist, there are a few long songs that make up most of the runtime and a couple of shorter songs. having multiple 9+ min songs on your album makes the whole album a slug to get through. so far i liked roundabout and thats really it. this album is kind of boring. i like the keys on south side of the sky. im also liking the second half of south side of the sky. long distance runaround is a fun track, sounds like a song id here in a video game. the fish is a short song. its fine. so far my raitng of the album is either a 4 or 5. it just feels bland. yesterday i was excited to see my next album, after listening to the masterpiece that is paranoid. but now im just disappointed. imo the best songs on the album are roundabout and heart of the sunrise. omg im so glad the album ended. it was really boring. i rate this album a 5/10
