It was dull. No real form or substance. Certainly something that would have worked if you could see him on stage.
It was better than I thought it was going to be, which isn’t saying much. Ultimately, this level of folk music isn’t appealing to me and as such, was a tough listen
For years, I had dismissed this album as the drop in form after, arguably, the greatest three album run in music history. I realise now that this was slightly harsh. It still has a banger or two (“Stand Up, Sit Down”) but it’s nowhere near the mess I thought at the time
