Moondance by Van Morrison
Sep 29 2023

Only one or two songs I didn’t really like on this album, and I think that may be situational. Into the Mystic and Brand New Day were definitely my favorites. Not something I’ll find myself listening to often but not bad by any means.

Reggatta De Blanc by The Police
Oct 02 2023

Took some time to grow on me, and even then - there are definitely some fun songs on here and fun elements, but I just don’t think it’s my thing. I can see why people like this album, and it’s not bad by any means, but I don’t think it’s for me.

Debut by Björk
Oct 04 2023

I didn’t expect to enjoy this album, but I loved it. The music is whimsical and dreamy, and it’s *fun*. Sure, I couldn’t always understand what she was saying, but that doesn’t matter. Plus, The Anchor Song struck a chord with me.

Born In The U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen
Oct 05 2023

Has a few very recognizable radio songs I’ve heard hundreds of times growing up that I enjoy (Glory Days and Dancing in the Dark), but overall I didn’t enjoy the album in its entirety. Feels illegal being from New Jersey and giving this anything less than a 4, but it’s one of the less cohesive and consistent albums I’ve heard. I also think Bruce’s voice is a hit or miss depending on the song.

Low-Life by New Order
Oct 06 2023

Nothing but bangers, absolutely loved this album. 9/10, my favorite so far.

Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Oct 09 2023

It’s pretty but it’s not the kind of music I’d listen to unless I’m in a very specific mood. Good music but it kind of just made me sad.

Different Class by Pulp
Oct 10 2023

This one took a bit to grow on me, but once I got into it, I started really enjoying it. Live Bed Show came out of nowhere and hit me like a brick, and others I particularly enjoyed were Common People, Something Changed, Sorted for E’s and Wizz, and Bar Italia. With a little research I also found out that the lead singer Jarvis Cocker (awesome name) played the lead singer of the Weird Sisters, the band that appears in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie, which is pretty neat.
