Love this album, brings back good memories of “That’s the drummer from Nirvana??” This was a nice trip down memory lane.

I was familiar with Aretha’s big, iconic songs, a few of which are here. But I don’t think I’d ever listened to an album of hers front to back. My goodness, what an absolutely heavenly voice. This is exactly what I wanted out of this list.

Super not my jam. Slow, plodding 10 minute opuses in a foreign language. The songs are in Icelandic as well, so no connection via lyrics for me either. Oh well, not everything is for everybody.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one start to finish. I had forgotten what a lightning bolt this album was. There aren’t really any low spots on the whole record.

We’re Going to be Friends
I have always appreciated Elvis, but never been a superfan. This album has a ton of stuff we all know, and I still fantastic, but was exactly what I was expecting. Really good, didn’t change my life. I could see how that would have rocked people’s socks at the time though.

Classic Queen, but not to the gigantic hits yet. Gave me more of a Flash Gordon vibe than anything, but still a good good time.

The March of the Black Queen
Not my jam at all. I never really got into the punk scene, still doesn’t do it for me.

Man, what a treat. Right album at the right time. Had kind of a rough day, but you just can’t even be mad listening to this. God bless Willie Nelson. 100% elevated my mood. Wonderful wonderful wonderful.

But really, the whole album was just a delight.
Bowie’s best, just good rock n roll start to finish. Enjoyed the listen.

It was a little slow and mellow for my mood today, but still a fan. Waylon’s a classic and I grew up around that music, so it felt like comfort food.

Good bluesy jams. Easy to pick Clapton out. I don’t live in the blues, but I did dig this.
