1001 Albums Summary

Incredible album. Amy Winehouse’s voice is the star of the album, her tone is amazing. Unfortunately a little front loaded, with some not quite as satisfying deep cuts on the second half of the album but as it’s a concise 34 minutes it doesn’t detract too much from the album. The neo-soul feel makes the album feel far older than it is, but that isn’t a negative. Overall I really enjoyed it but I don’t see myself coming back to it too frequently, aside from a few key tracks, the standouts being ‘Me and Mr. Jones’ ‘Back to Black’ and ‘Rehab’

Some standout tracks, I particularly like glory box. I won’t be coming back to it very frequently though, it just didn’t enthral me
