1001 Albums Summary

The first album that finally got me into the Beatles, a timeless classic. Something will be one of my all time favorite songs. Peak hippy college phase listening, 10/10

Overall I am glad I listened to this album. It is very pretty sounding, Emmylou has a timeless voice, and this album sits solidly in the type of country I find palatable. However, it is too twangy for me at points, songs kind of blend together, and some songs are just tooo slow for my personal preference. I think it’s definitely worthy of a listen through for anyone who enjoys music from the 70s. 6/10

Generic rock album #17253 idk just wasn't appealing to me

This album is such a cornerstone (harhar) of Arctic Monkeys and really set the stage for the music they would go on to release. While a handful of songs fall into the trap of being repetitious, there are gems in here that have been solid staples in my music rotation for almost a decade that I still have not gotten tired of. Upon relistening, there are a lot of really fun and simplistic basslines that have got me interested in learning how to play. Fun and high energy, highlights include I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor, Mardy Bum, When the Sun Goes Down, and a Certain Romance 7.5/10
