Electric Warrior by T. Rex

Terrible. I would give this 0 stars if I could. It commits the cardinal sin of being both boring and repetitive. T-Rex wears their influences on their sleeve, while saying absolutely nothing of their own. I hate this, and I never want to hear it again. If you told me the CIA uses this to torture detainees at Guantanamo bay, I’d believe you.

Violator by Depeche Mode

Really enjoyed this one. I’ve heard many of the singles many times, but for some reason I never got around to listening to the whole album. While listening, I could see clearly how this album has influenced so many of the bands I love. It felt like a very polished album that I am sure will require many passes to truly digest. Standout tracks were “Enjoy the Silence”, “Policy of Truth”, and “Clean”. Will listen again. And again and again.

Melodrama by Lorde

This album made me feel like I was at a 17 year old girl’s birthday party. It’s definitely not for me and I won’t be listening again anytime soon.

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Oct 10 2023

It’s been a long time since I listened to any reggae. This fit the low key mood I was in today, but it didn’t get my juices flowing. I don’t think it’ll be entering my regular rotation.
