Urban Hymns by The Verve
Oct 18 2023

Bitter Sweet Symphony, forgettable softish rock music. Grocery store classic.

Tea for the Tillerman by Cat Stevens
Oct 19 2023

Not my normal type, but if you listen to the lyrics you get so into the songs. Its so meaningful and gets catchy after a listen or two.

I forgot how much I like the few Muse songs I've heard, I've never listened to a full album, but it holds up. And Muse is still making music now in 2023, I gotta catch up on all the music

I was surprised how many of these songs I knew. I don't remember learning any of them, but they have been covered by so many artists over so much time that many of these songs are classics. Otis has such a good voice that puts the old-timey emotion into all the songs, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this album. You Don't Miss Your Water is the hidden gem on this one, I hadn't heard it before but I'm adding it to my regular playlist. I'm only marking 4 stars instead of 5 because so many of these songs have been over-covered so much that it feels repetitive listening to them even if its the first time I've heard Otis on them.

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Oct 22 2023

Not a big fan, kinda loud and dissonant a lot of the time, the sound mixing made it hard to hear the lyrics over the loud instruments.

Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye
Oct 23 2023

Excellent for what it is. Kinda soft listening, romantic, lots of saxaphone. Classic.

Low-Life by New Order
Oct 24 2023

Forgettable softish rock. I didn't pay much attention to the lyrics though, they might have been better.

Nevermind by Nirvana
Oct 26 2023

Not bad, not my usual type of music, but its definitely good music.

Caetano Veloso by Caetano Veloso
Oct 27 2023

Its super soft acoustic music. Not my type, so I am not a good judge

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
Oct 28 2023

Oldish rock vibe, not bad but I couldn't get into it very much
