1001 Albums Summary

Yeah, I'm not liking this one. It's a bit obnoxiously pop-esque and loud in places. Plus, the music seems kinda empty and generic. I'm not getting anything genuine from the lyrics. I also don't like the artist's voice that much. She gets a little screechy at time. But maybe that's just me.

It was pretty mellow and cute. It had a lot of old Americana-sounding songs. I like that kind of stuff.

I can see why it's respected. I just wasn't excited by it.

This album has a lot more energy than the Björk album I listened to. I like that. The music also has a nice floaty texture to it. I'm not getting an emotional connection, but I can lean back and and listen to all the little complexities of the work. Ok, I'm getting a bit of an emotional connection to "Liability".

It was okay. I didn't like the songs beyond the hits very much. All the songs related to each other well, though.
