1001 Albums Summary

The album is absolutely electric front to back, an all time classic rock album in anyone’s book. The fact that this is a debut album is astounding and the amount of classics that I instantly recognized was astounding. Arguably one of the best lead tracks of an album of all time, when it comes to “Running With the Devil” and comes with a cohesiveness with Eddie Van Halen’s eruption following it. The song “Ice Cream Man”, though featured late in the album, definitely added a touch of pop to the heavy rock chorus, and overall served as a great conclusion to the album.

Very fun album with the highs being Where is my Mind along with Gigantic, however the rest of the album flowed well. I liked how it sounded like they had fun recording it, along with the song Cactus which sounded more bittersweet yet managed to sound like a cactus song with the raw yet sharp instruments lighting up the entire track.
