1001 Albums Summary

I was gonna hate on the album at first, the first half of the songs were mid tbh but that back half of the album was full of bangers. Wrapped Around your finger a Goated song. The Police do have better songs though I feel like so I cant rate too high. Not an all time album in my opinion but still a good listen. 3

So many classics in this album. Turn to Stone, Sweet Talkin Woman, Across the Border, Jungle, Sweet is the Night, and Mr Blue Sky of course are some of the favorites. I don't know how they do it but they manage to mix classic rock with other genres in their songs and it just works perfectly. Definitely an all time album and one of my personal favorites. Easy 5/5 for me.

Listened at 9 AM at work on a Wednesday, I consider myself an enjoyer of Nirvana music but this album had me dying. From the get go, Scentless Apprentice woke me up. I truly don't know what went through their mind when making some of these songs. It almost feels like some of these songs they were dared by friends to write some of the lyrics and they actually did it. Ironically I actually kind of enjoyed the album?? Some good songs on there and since I was kinda familiar with Nirvana it was solid to listen to. Heck, might even learn a few of the songs on guitar or at least attempt to. I'd give it like a 3.25. Def was a staple of 90s rock but they also be doing too much.

Had low expectations from the album cover. It was still a little too goth like type music but it was alright. All the songs also kinda sounded similar, it was hard to differentiate when a new song was playing. The 1 rating is more so because there's other albums that I would still much prefer to listen to. I still didn't hate it completely though.

Very old timey music, not as crazy as Electric Light Orchestra or anything. I do like a few songs on the album but there weren’t a ton that stood out. Pinball Wizard a classic though.

Was very surprised with this one. Absolute banger. Fully deserving of the 5/5

Had to go back and listen to this one and was pleasantly surprised. I actually had favorited one of the songs before "In Your Eyes", so I was familar with Peter Gabriel a little before but the whole album was actually a fantastic listen. Got that classic 80s sound.

My typa music. Honestly though this album is a great 90s rock classic. Alice in Chains just have that distinct sound that you know its their song and this album definitely exemplifies that. Jar Of Flies still a better album from them though. I don't want to let my personal bias get in the way, I'll give this one a 3 but Jar Of Flies is definitely a 5 for me
