Tusk by Fleetwood Mac

long album. starts with a slow song. don't think I could get through this album without skipping as soon as I'm bored. it's not a bad album, but it's not the kind of thing I listen to when I look for something new. What Makes You Think You're the One is the only song to catch me attention so far. to review or listen to this properly, I'd need to know the context around it. it doesn't sound like anything I haven't heard Walk a Thin Line is interesting, my favourite so far. it's pretty diverse when it comes to sounds and their arrangement, and I'm a big fan of that. the highlights in the album are inspired and have an identity Never Forget does that weird change to the musical boring place that I see. just vamp and lead it back into the other part, that'll work... I'm not a fan of the slower songs, I just get bored too quickly, but the parts I liked, I liked a lot.

a day is never enough for a concept album. the first four songs are half-baked. second half is good. I like the concept for an album. I feel like people live lives with struggles similar to this more often than music like this is made, so I just appreciate that it exists. the second half has more energy than the first, and the slower songs sound like they spent more time in the oven. second half is more cohesive and solid all around. definitely glad I kept listening through.
