1001 Albums Summary

A favourite album of mine. Influential musically with occasional touches of black humour.

I'm a fan of the film but I was surprised how lacklustre the production on the original album was. It lacks the passion of other Who albums. I'll give it another chance but I wasn't really impressed.

I appreciate the talent but the vibe isn't particularly to my taste. For all the talk about being a pivotal album in the transition from 60s utopianism to 70s pragmatism, its best songs are the most hippy-tinged.
