really good

interesting! ive listened to a bit of blues here and there but its mostly sparser more acoustic downtempo and with like a gospel bent like blind willie johnson. this was a little jazzier than i thought it would be. i liked it. it was a bop. but i like a bleaker blues i think. also enjoyed audience reactions. probably a 3.5 for me. fav track i actually really liked help the poor & the instrumentation on that

wild maximalist journey. an album containing every song ever written. didnt like the opening few too much but it turned around sir duke and was then bop after bop. sooo much of this album is soo influential. listening to it in its original context would be insane. fav track: actually had a really hard time with this. sir duke slaps. pastime paradise also. i did not like the first half of as too much but i think the second half might be my favorite moment on the album it goes soo crazy. isnt she lovely is just a classic and its so crazy that he wrote it about fia before she was ever borned
