1001 Albums Summary

My first time exploring Elton outside of the mainstream hits. Rather enjoyable, if somewhat redundant by the album's end. Really highlights the dynamism of old school audio production, where soft notes are allowed to be distinguished from loud. Will rate a 3, but I feel it's a solid 3.5/5. Entertaining, but largely unmemorable.

An absolute classic. Youthful anger and angst dressed up in an early '90s genre-blending package, containing prescience and nostalgia all at once.

Bright, bouncing British pop rock done surprisingly well. I was not a fan of Oasis outside of a couple of their hits and expected a sloggish listen, but caught myself really zoning to a lot of the tunes, which are well produced and straightforward in their construction and execution. I will listen again for sure.

Really enjoyable listen. Something of a time capsule album for that post-recession, pre-social media era. I dig it.
