Genre: Country Rock
Date Ranked: 04 . 01 . 24
Where Do The Children Play?: 7 / 10 ☆
> He has a calm and kinda wholesome voice, similar to Bowie in a way. I think the lyrics are rather wholesome too, and seem kinda strong in some moments. Overall, I think it is a pretty nice little song, maybe it’s just not my genre, if you will.
Hard Headed Woman: 6.75 / 10 ☆
> Well, I’d say this one is a bit more lively, I kinda like it, however, I’d say that lyrically, it is losing to the previous song.
Wild World: 6.75 / 10 ☆
> The singing at the beginning is not great, however, from there it kinda picks and gets much better. Like, I’d say it is kinda catchy, I kinda like it.
Sad Lisa: 6.75 / 10 ☆
> Beautiful music, sounds sad and melancholic, I love it. The lyrics are a tiny bit cheesy, but, overall, it is pretty good.
Miles From Nowhere: 7 / 10 ☆
> Hmm, this one is quite nice. I like how nicely it flows from the slightly quicker parts to the slower ones and again. The lyrics? Quite nice too.
But I Might Die Tonight: 6.5 / 10 ☆
> Well, that was short, and, to be honest, it was just alright. Kinda weaker than all the previous ones, if I have to be honest.
Longer Boats: 6.5 / 10 ☆
> Okay, honestly, I am not a fan when stuff is sung like this. So, yeah, this song is no exception, not a big fan, sorry.
Into White: 6.75 / 10 ☆
> That’s cute and everything, but, like, felt extremely short in terms of lyrics, personally. Still, I like the music in this one.
On The Road To Find Out: 7 / 10 ☆
> Fair enough, this one is quite good. Like, it is nice, and the chorus is nice, I like the thing with “on the road to find out”, it is nice.
Father And Son: 7 / 10 ☆
> Wholesome life advice, I think it is well written, love it.
Tea For The Tillerman: 6.75 / 10 ☆
> I liked the loud part, but it was too short overall, unfortunately.

Devils’ Haircut: 5.75 / 10 ☆
> Wow, this is a surprisingly bad opening, like, holy moly. His voice sounds very enthusiastic and kinda dead, and the lyrics are boring and repetitive. The music is kinda alright I suppose, but it doesn’t really save the song.
Hotwax: 6 / 10 ☆
> This is still very very boring. Putting his voice aside, the lyrics aren’t great, and the music doesn’t serve the song well either.
Lord Only Knows: 6 / 10 ☆
“Odelay” is, admittedly, a very nice word. The same cannot be said about the song.
The New Pollution: 6.75 / 10 ☆
> I have to admit, this one is much better than the previous ones. His voice is better, so are the lyrics, and the music also went through a significant improvement. Well done.
Derelict: 6.75 / 10 ☆
> Yeah, that’s what I am talking about! Improvements! Again, lyrically, much better.
Novacane: 6.5 / 10 ☆
> Not really bad, but I am not exactly a fan of the “attitude” in which the song is performed, if you understand what I mean.
Jack-Ass: 6.5 / 10 ☆
> I think the music in this one is pretty alrighty nice, and the lyrics aren’t bad, but the way he delivers it sounds a bit boring to me personally.
Where It’s At: 6.5 / 10 ☆
> I feel like this one kinda had the potential to be quite a fire song but kinda fell off shortly with those pretty boring sounding lyrics. A shame.
Minus: 6.25 / 10 ☆
> Too short for you to start enjoying it considering its other qualities. It is just alright-ish.
Sissyneck: 6.25 / 10 ☆
> Not even too sure what to say about this one. It is just “alright” and not much else.
Readymade: 6.25 / 10 ☆
> Almost missed this one to be honest. It is… well, not a bad one, I think it has some nice touches, but, overall, it is mid in my opinion.
High 5 (Rock the Catskills): 6.75 / 10 ☆
> Alright, this one is kinda more catchy and sounds kinda nice, so I’ll give it that.
Ramshackle: 6.5 / 10 ☆
> It is calm and nice and stuff, but it still feels weak to an extent. Maybe his voice is just not for me, I am not sure.
Diskobox: 6.75 / 10 ☆
> This one is experimental and fun, I like it! I can’t make out too much of the words, but it is still a nice song.

Additional Note(s):
Apparently, his album “Midnite Vultures” is pretty good, according to my dad at least. Maybe you should check it out later.
As for this one, maybe it’s just not for you.

One Hundred Years: 6.5 / 10 ☆
> Gee, this felt so dragged on to be honest. It is not done in the worst way, but it isn’t that good either. I just don’t feel very invested in the song.
A Short Term Effect: 6.75 / 10 ☆
> This one gives me such an 80’s vibe like wow (that’s not a bad thing by the way). But honestly, I do like the lyrics and that delivery is something I love too. It is quite nice I’d say.
The Hanging Garden: 6.5 / 10 ☆
> This one was kinda hard to rate so I’ll just round down. It really isn’t bad, but I feel it is kinda repetitive and is boring in terms of music and delivery, but, idk, it also is kinda good.
Siamese Twins: 6.75 / 10 ☆
> Alright, I see we are fluctuating here, aren’t we? I’d say that lyrically, it is the best one so far. I am not a fan of the delivery by the very end, but throughout the rest of the song, I can’t complain.
The Figurehead: 6.5 / 10 ☆
> Uhhh, well, this certainly feels like a very long song. I don’t even mind songs being long, but this one just felt so boring most of the time. The lyrics kinda feel all over the place.
A Strange Day: 6.75 / 10 ☆
> That’s better. The lyrics got more interesting and the delivery went up in quality too. It still felt kinda prolonged but not really bad, so, yeah, good.
Cold: 6.75 / 10 ☆
> Again, this one feels much more coherent and overall better. I love the music in this one, and the lyrics with this delivery are also pretty nice.
Pornogaphy: 6.25 / 10 ☆
> Ah yes, a 3 minute intro. Not just that, but the wait isn’t even worth it in the end. I suppose I am supposed to not hear shit either. And the delivery is of questionable quality too. Meh.

Additional Note(s):
Maybe The Cure is simply not for me. I was kinda interested in checking them out, but after this thing (which is considered to be one of their best albums) I am not as interested. Or, at the very least, I will postpone it for much later. I am not the biggest fan of their delivery in this album, however I suppose lyrically it’s not that bad.
