1001 Albums Summary

Not my genre at all, but I can totally get why this must be a legendary album. Even I knew many of the songs like killing me softly or gangsters paradise that have widely been used in popculture. Also nice version of no woman, no cry. I also want to mention that the choices of songs to sample from to get some melodic parts was excellent, even though I prefer the originals (cymande!!!) Almost always there is a skit before/ after the song so it really is an album that you would have to hear from start to finish in it's entirety and is not suited for modern, jumpy, Spotify listening.

Very flat and unemotional to me. Some nice rythems and melodies but never get "over the hill" to get me coving. Maybe I'll try again in a couple years.
