1001 Albums Summary

Good album as all Steely Dan albums are. Rikki is probably my favorite of all their songs, and I really, really like the East St Louis Toodle-oo for a change of pace. That said, not my favorite of their albums, but still a very likeable one that I had not listened to in quite a while.

Pretty good album. Outside my normal style of music, but I quite enjoyed it. For me, it would get old after a while, but is great for a change of pace in small doses every once and a while.

Punk/New Wave not really my thing. I didn't dislike the album or any songs on it, but would probably never choose it to listen to. I can see what the attraction is for those who like that style of music, just don't share it with them. I did listen to the entire album, though, so that says a lot. Most albums in this style I couldn't make it through the whole album, this inw is listenable. No complaints.

Primitive sound, not the music or musician so much as the instruments, recording equipment, and mixing/mastering. Personally I don't like the piano, I prefer keyboards and even organ. It's a fun listen, but the songs sound so similar that it gets old before the end of the 29 minute album length.

Didn't listen to it all, it just drones on and on. The songs are way too long for what they are, in my opinion.
