A great album that I hadn’t heard in many years. A master class in funk.

Really a Rogers/Edwards album with the Sisters Sledge as singers. Rogers influence was all over album, which was a highlight.
A great prince album.
A great, but inconsistent album. Very much a mash-up of Velvet Underground and Spiders From Mars.
Did not enjoy. I have little experience in shoegaze music, so I’m clearly not the intended audience. I found it muddy, droning, low-fi and boring. I couldn’t understand one word of their lyrics as thy were buried in the mud.
