1001 Albums Summary

I can see the appeal of this album, but it’s not really for me. Don’t mind longer songs, but many of them don’t seem to go anywhere. Give Up The Funk is the most recognizable song.

Surprised at how enjoyable this is so far. Some of the non hits definitely blend together, but it makes the really good songs stand out above the rest. Highlights: Sunday Bloody Sunday, New Year’s Day, Two Hearts Beat as One

I think I’m biased because I love the guitar tone here and the blues beat on the drums. But the song lyrics here have aged like milk. The radio hits stand far above the B sides, which all sound exactly the same. This is also the type of album you really enjoy the first few tracks, but then realize the entire album basically sounds the exact same.
