1001 Albums Summary

No opinion or knowledge of Nilsson before this. Knew a lot of the music without knowing who or why. Kind of reminded me of Paul Williams at first. So much so that I always thought his biggest hit, Without You was Paul Williams. Then track 3 Early in the Morning came up. Got my attention. Bluesy and original and very short. Really liked track 5 Down, my favorite song from the album. Had no idea Coconut was him. Seemed quite contrived or maybe not my taste. Jump into the Fire was great. Didn't know he was referred to as the American Beatle and was close with them from the 60's. Partied hard with them in early 70's in LA. Even lived with Ringo. I know, I know I can read Wikipedia- but still interesting.

Really didn't care for the music. Not a big fan of the whispery vocal delivery he uses. Felt it buried the lyrics. Junk Bond Trader was the only song that I found interesting--- Maybe Easy Way Out. Otherwise hard pass. Couldn't get through he whole thing.
