i overall "liked" all of the songs. some i liked more than others. i would listen again because i already forget what some of the songs sounded like (listened while working on essays) i don't want 90% of my albums to be 4-stars so i'll start with a 3-star for this one.
time to dance! i would rate it a 4.5 but going with 5 since i don't have half star options i was looking for new bossa nova and this is like a great energetic bossa nova album. i bet if i understood the lyrics, they would add to the quirky vibe that i'm getting i feel like modern music/modern indie music makers would plagarize the shit out of some of these songs
songs in the key of life... sounds like gospel music in a good way some of these songs are kinda romantic, and maybe it's my 18-year-old self but i don't like romantic songs. bc i listen... and then i think... and then i get uncomfortable. (loving someone in a non platonic way?? ew) contusion...ate. that was a good song. I (on my iPhone now) I hear a lot of familiar sounds so either people have sampled this album a lot or this album used a lot of familiar samples Knocks me off my feet is good! His voice is really good Pastime paradise??? Okay this is weird. So many songs are based off this album (I’m assuming they’re inspired by him because it would be weird for this gentle loving guy to do a spinoff on a song called “Gangsta’s Paradise” Summer soft reminds me of Romeo and Juliet Baz Luhrmann ver idk why.

Saw the album cover and immediately knew I was about to BOP. Frank Sinatra/adults standard music was my top genre of 2020.. that ate. listened to every song in the background of my work and enjoyed evry one. definitely re-listening
oopsies sorry i fell off for a bit but i'm back listening to ghosteen. this is kind of just like spoken word poetry there's so much emotion and meaning behind it but the music itself isn't really my style
