interesting debut for California rock outfit, there rock album with a rap influence is a creative idea but not executed well. the electric guitar heavy production is interesting at first but hets old quickly, the vocal performances on some songs are good but the rap-talking ruined many songs. songs like crawling and with you have good vocal performances but the rapping ruins the song for me

Micheal Jacksons debut solo LP Off the Wall is one of the most influential pop albums of all time, the affects of the album is still being seen today. the Album is full of hits and the opening two tracks are some of the greatest tracks ever made. my only problem is that a few tracks overstay there welcome for example the opening track dont stopp till you get enough is amazing bast goes on for to long. the albums 7th track out of my life is an emotional ballad that is a great song, but doesnt quite fit the upbeat theme of off the wall. jacksons vocal performance is incredible throughout the album and off the wall is a very easy listen. the album does not challenge the listener and is very accessible, you would struggle to find someone that has a strong negative opinion of the album.

The opening track of this album, I'd like to know is a great song with good vocals and an interesting production. but the album rarely hits the heights that it hit on the first song. Much of the album is very guitar-heavy and extremely repetitive. There are some highs, such as the hit song Alright, but the album becomes slightly boring because of the repetitiousness. Overall, the album is a good listen, but few songs stick out. A good album, not a great one.

Beauty And The Beat by the go-go’s is a pop album with good moments but can become incredibly boring. the influence of this album in modern pop is clear and this band set the way for female pop stars but the album has little memorable moments. the opening song is the best of the album by far and is also the most popular. the album overall is very forgettable despite its influence

Doolitte by the Pixies has some good moments with good vocal performances, and the production of the album is great throughout, but the constant sceaming and scratchy vocals become annoying, which leads me to search for songs on the album with just singing, of which there are very few. There are a few good moments on the album, but the good moments are very enjoyable.

The album is a very laid back indie rock album, with an upbeat feeling. the production feels fresh and interesting and does not get boring and the flute adds a uniqeness, overall i like the album but it is just not my type of music. 3.5/5
