Birth Of The Cool by Miles Davis

#1/1001 Haven't gotten into older jazz music very much, but I think this was a nice introduction. The instruments sound like they are trying to talk to me, I love it, lol. I think it's interesting that it's a compilation album recorded over a few years AND spanning over the beginning of new eras of jazz, so that was quite cool! I *love* the horns on this. Overall: I like it! Might not be something I listen to everyday, but if I had a long but fulfilling day, I might come home, pour a glass of whiskey and read a good book in my huge leather office chair (like the movies yk) and just let the sounds fill the room. Favorites: Move Venus De Milo Godchild <3 <3 Rogue Darn That Dream (however, it did scare me for a sec because I was Not expecting lyrics lol)

The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy

#2/1001 CRAB RAVE WAS MY VERY FIRST THOUGHT. I have very little experience with electronic music, so I don't have much to compare this to, but a lot of the songs sounded the same. Overall: It wasn't a horrible experience, some of them played and it was like "yeah I could headbang to this if it was blasting and bass-boosted at a dark club." but then others just dragged on. The whole album just wears on you after awhile, however, I think hearing these songs *separately* would be fine, just not all at once. This is not an album you sit and listen all the way through, yk? Favorites: Smack My Bitch Up Diesel Power Serial Thrilla Fuel My Fire

The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses

#3/1001 Overall: I normally don't go for britpop, but I think this is an example of a decent britpop album. Since it's a debut you can tell they were playing around with different sounds and styles of singing/playing, which is always cool to listen too. An okay album overall, but the whiny whisper sound does get old eventually. Some songs are immediate skips like Don't Go, Made of Stone, and Shoot You Down but the others are solid listens! Favorites: She Bangs the Drum Bye Bye Bad Man I Am The Resurrection

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra

#4/1001 Overall: Wow. I wonder what bands this guy likes. It's not a bad album per se but it's SOOOOOOO boring and on top of that it's incredibly long, maybe it's because I don't like the Beatles very much. This is basically the Beatles with a mix of Queen-esqe vocal layering and maybe some Pink Floyd influence? The only interesting thing about this is the classical music influence, which I did like, although I wish there was more of it. Also, I do have to add a thank you to this album for Mr. Blue Sky because that song is in every movie ever. Favorites: Sweet Talkin' Woman Mr. Blue Sky Latitude 88 North

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy

Pretty good live album, however for some reason my spotify doesn't give me access to over half the songs. The ones I have access too were good though!
