1001 Albums Summary

I'm no music critic but I can see why this album made the list. I'll give my thoughts. Good: - This album sounds really good, especially considering it was made in the 1960s. It may just be my earbuds but it sounds like Ray is singing right in front of you. It's beautiful. - You can truly feel the emotion in Ray Charles singing. Throughout the entire album. - The orchestration is beautiful in every song. Bad: - It is a little repetitive. I really like this genre of music though so not that bad.

This was a difficult listen for me. I'm not a huge fan of experimental music - The most experimental album I've ever listened to and enjoyed is yeezus. I guess the more avant garde stuff isn't for me. anyways What I liked: - The beats on most of the songs were pretty okay - There were like 3 tracks I liked - Bjork tried something new What I didn't: - Bjorks voice is an acquired taste I guess. I hate her singing. - The first song - I don't like house music so this was a difficult listen

The album is fine but its a product of its time. Nothing stands out but its not a bad album.

Very 90s. Very grunge. Not for me. And I really hate the drums in this for some reason.

Very goofy album. This is definitely an upper 3, maybe a low 4. Some of the songs were a little long but it was a fun listen.

Has that late 70s/early 80s cheese to it, similar to the Springsteen album I listened to, but with singers who sound pleasant. It was gonna get a 3 but I really like Sundays girl, One way or another, and of course Heart of Glass.

Really loud and i hate iggys vocals but it's a product of its time. 2/5
